Yes. That is why you need to be careful ANY time you receive a citation. When the conviction is reported to your home state, if there isn't an exact match for the charge in their code, they'll find something that sounds similar...which may or may not be a serious problem for you.

Mirrors don't count. Law usually (I have yet to see otherwise) excludes mirrors from the overal width measurement.spyder7723 Thanks this.

I believe they are considered safety equipment and are therefore exempt just like tarps when they billow out a bit are considered safety equipment and exempt

Yup. Mirrors have never counted against a vehicle's width. Tires, fender, body, yes...but never mirrors.

10 4. I guess you got lost and got away from penn ave? Those little towns around there, alburtis, macungie, emmaus. They do not like trucks too far off the main drags in those towns.

To me it sounds like the clerk was talking about getting points on your TX drivers license. In that respect it's no diffrent than a car ticket.
I would verify that's what she meant. Should not affect the federal csa or psp scores though.
