I'm considering driving for xpo mostly because theres a terminal very close to my house and because I want to be home daily. That one used to be Conway. Any of you guys have helpful info?

No takers? I'm about to pull the trigger and go for it...maybe after Xmas. This cents per mile regional crap isn't paying the bills and also bad for my health. I'm mostly wondering about the differences Xpo has brought compared to con-way

If you don’t mind dock work it’ll work out fine. This is the slow time normally for LTL. So just warning you. Drivers that been there make a lot of money. Potential is 100k+. But don’t expect to be dropping and hooking and running long trips for awhile. Takes a acouple years. You’ll be doing dockwork and city for awhile. But they normally pay better then most OTR companies. Think 20+ hr. But yeah home daily for 20+ hr isn’t bad.
Rattlayitdown, Need4Speed and Freak_On_A_Leash Thank this. -
Im a Linehaul driver in Pennsylvania its getting to that time of year. So if you do come on just be aware winters suck in LTL. In city theres no hrs ,if your linehaul and bottom guy you will sit. My terminal is small about 60 drivers i run our shortest run by choice and I've made good money. So if you don't mind dock work you can go skys the limit with pay.
Freak_On_A_Leash Thanks this. -
