Two Questions

Get the 2017 or wait a few months and it will drop a lot. They print em every year so you won't have to wait long for the prices to drop.
Also that bag would be perfect. I've had people jump on my truck with luggage looking like they were going on vacation for a few weeks. Guess what they had to do? They had to sleep with there luggage in there bunk because there ain't room for all that crap in the cabinets. And they wouldn't even fit so they dident really have a choice. When you get your own truck you will make it your new home and put things where you want em how you want em. But untill then try and keep the baggage to a minimum.

 

I hung on to my mid 90's for so long. I finally had to get a 2001 and hung on to that one for years. I might still have the #### thing buried in my pile closet.

Eventually it is all up here *Taps brain pan... But not all of it. Im such a picky picky when it comes to directions.

 

TWO DAYS? Oh wee you gonna need a shower once you hit that hotel.

Most ive gone was 30 hours and half of that on ice a foot thick where I was not sure if the driver had what it took to keep that grey boat moving in a few places. Kept me awake all that time too. He did good. But those tires got cut a time a two, I can almost assure it...

 

I got a nice laminated 2018 from Loves for 29.95 about 3 weeks ago.

 

All I use is my iPhone map. Plus I can zoom in on the satellite pic of a place and see which drive is the truck entrance and so on.

 

Looking at Google maps (or whatever app you choose) is a great tool like mentioned above. I also look at the satellite, that way your not surprised. Just don't rely on the GPS 100%. It's not set up for trucks (or at least an option I've seen on Android).
I've had it before in Jersey (hate that place for this reason) that the truck GPS kept screwing up so I pulled it up on the phone and Google wanted me to take a few roads clearly marked with signs saying no trucks.
I look over the routes on the GPS, my phone and the atlas. Never hurts

 

If you really want some fun, hop on the amtrack Acela Baltimore to maybe Wilmington.

Your gps will max out at around 150 on good days while bouncing from subdivision court to subdivsion court (Culdesacs...) because the GPS is specifically disallowed from following your train.

The plain problem is we creep around the USA at 70 while all other nations are flying faster than aircraft on rail these days.. it's embarrasing.
