Nothing wrong with that. Exactly how I would've done it, because no belly wraps. I prefer belly wraps though, always, if it's possible, it's way safer.

That's not acceptable to me. I would have all 20 straps on there, even the lower rows first then the middle then the top. Takes not very long compared to what could happen if it did get loose. Then you have the rest of the life time to regret being lazy with too little securement.

That's a wonderful load. I like it. Ive hauled the same. One little issue with the ravens I had with that light stuff. The last strap on the rear would work loose and then drag if it had a chance.

Header board rule applies for all 3 bundles. 2for the first 10ft, 1 for very 10 or fraction thereof.

There are 3 bundles. The two on the deck and the one on top. Because the bottom two aren’t touching, that back bundle would be required to have 2 for the first 10 ft. And the one on top also. Say they are 18 ft...

I’d say I could make it legal with 9. 3 on the bottom from, 4on the top bundle, and 2 on the back.

So, care to enlighten me as to which category you feel like my example belongs in?

I agree with that. However on that particular load, the guy running the Lull was just dumping the pipe any which way, so it was all cattywhompas. I must have stopped at least 7-8 times in the first 300 miles, and would get several clicks on each winch, due to the pipe settling in...

I'm glad somebody else knows load securement. It's so easy to do right.
