You mean you don't have to throw 30 straps and 16 chains on every load to be properly secure?

Lepton1, Tb0n3 and cke Thank this.

Not if you read the Bible.

EDIT: Ok, there’s no such thing as over securement. But throwing securement at a load is moot if you don’t understand or have never read the Bible.

Straps don't do much good rolled up in the box.

A guy doesn't have to throw everything at it, but a little over the bare minimum is just insurance.

@spyder7723, do you know the difference between a religious man and a spiritual man? The religious man is looking for law. The spiritual man is looking to better himself.

I'd rather put some extra on and not need it than wish I had done more when it's too late.

    Not me BTW

It’s true. It’s like swimming vs treading water. Do you want to advance towards the shore, or stay in one spot trying to stay afloat? If we aren’t advancing, we are sinking.

To me the thing that continually amazes me is the people that can't seem to grasp the concept of "securement". When I haul something I've never hauled before I look at it and think "how am I going to keep this thing in place?" I've seen chains all over a machine and yet it could still move. Number of tiedowns is important but more important is position.
