As nice as this sounds it doesn't sound too likely to me. To make $50,000 a year running only 26 weeks a year at $0.45 a mile means you would have to average over 4200 miles every week you drive. If you believe that is a reasonable expectation I have a bridge to sell you.
Either there are some missing pieces here or they are just flat-out full of crap.
Can this work?

$65k, maybe that's what you and the other make when combined.
It doesn't add up. No way I would commit to a year without better information.SingingWolf, WesternPlains and diesel drinker Thank this. -
30 CPM ? My God,I would simply hang up on them.I wouldn't count on bonuses.Don't take anything under 45 CPM even if you new.

One other big unknown is; Why hasn't anybody put me in touch with the other team member? Or at least gotten them to contact me? Nobody.... my teacher, or the recruiter has offered to let me talk to that person. I know they both know who the person is.

I haven't taken the time to analyze this job, but most, almost all piece work pay jobs don't add up to their advertised yearly rate.
These companies are looking for a driver to dumb to add up the pay, yet smart enough to run the truck.WesternPlains and HotH2o Thank this. -
