Another problem is parking period. Many of these loads are the same year after year so many are going the same places and a lot of the parking has been eliminated. They are putting all the problems on the drivers, which some are slobs and leave trash and excrement all over. Shoving all that onto drivers will only make it worse, we have many more bodies in the world that was a decade ago and need to plan for it.

 

i'd just be happy if the USA got the Canadian driving hours

Second I wish many of you just back going back to the 1962 version of hos, with everything that allowed flexibility we need, no more bullsh** or crap, flexible hos as it worked for over forty years.

Good thing I did not go with Keep Trucking for ELD. Let's make driver's day 20 hours, so shippers don't have to rush anywhere.

 

Keep trucking has determined, by monitoring drivers logs, that 75% of drivers are detained for more than two hours at shippers and receivers. The petition is to support a change to the HOS rules allowing a driver to drive for two extra hours IF detained by more than two hours at the shipper. It is NOT a blanket 16 hour day. It is a circumstance driven exception.
