Is this a generational divide? I use technology. It doesn't use me.

How do you beat the computer ? Lets say you wake up at 8 am, drive 2 hours to a shipper and sit for a hour, the spend a hpur loading and strapping down, then drive for 3 hours and start feeling tired and lay down for 3 hours how do ypu make the computer not see those 3 hours or not make it take them away from you ? With paper logs yes you can do some fudging and yes you can do some adjusting to keep your hours correct while also maintaining safe driving and not driving while fatigued I'm not seeing the connection or a clear-path on how to do that when you switch over to electronic logs. Keep in mind I've not once ever ran electronic logs ever since I got into the trucking I've refused to go to any company that had electronic logs obviously those days are coming to an end

LOL, there's no Chicago company that works within the HOS guidelines... your company is no exception... They get 99% of freight from brokers\load boards. Having to push the log books is the only way.... I've been there and done it so I know.

So far i havent been put in any situation with them that would require me to push the books. Not saying it couldnt happen, but after dec 18th it wont matter anyway

So many people don’t realize that just because you change an hour or two around here and there that you’re not a criminal

I run how i have to run. Always have. But have never ever ran fatigued. it shpuldnt be up to the government to hold your hand. Every single driver has different driving habits, sleeping habits etc. If you're a suppoter of e logs lets just agree to disagree because were not going to get anywhere, at all.
