just because one person had a bad experience with a company doesnt mean you will or someone else will.........who knows maybe the person who had the negative experience put themselves in that position, but all you can do is make the most out of what is in front of you......:biggrin_25511:

roehl has too many fleets, flatbed seems to be doing good. If you work the hometime fleets you get all the miles you want. If you are in the honor program and are on salary you will NEVER sit. If you are in van national you will sit alot!

Don't have any grand illusions about this company, it's very disorganized in some areas and very organized in others. If you get my old tractor, 4612, it's a piece of crap and kept me in the shop 3 or 4 days a month in gary. Ugg, I hate sitting around broke down...lol.

I used to drive for roehl. I did thier co trianing and it was very good in my opinion. I ran national and averaged between 3000 and 3600 a week. As long as you are willing to work hard you will do fine. They do have a lot of rules but most are common sense. as far as equipment my tractor was pretty nice. less than 200k when issued. I did have a small elec fire while at marshfield term and they only held me up for about 15 hrs. Got my reset in and kept on truckin. Compared to some fleets they take very good care of the eqip. If you get lippy with disp. you will sit.I rarely talked with my dispacher. I told him i wanted to run hard and not #### chat and thats the way he ran me. If you run national flat and you are a little flexible as to what day u get home( wed instead of tues) you can rack up the miles. I would recomend them to anybody and I would still be there myself if a great local job wasnt offered to me. I still miss it.

Go to your nearest truck stop and talk to there current drivers... You will get better responses talking to the driver face to face.

By the looks of your attitude Roehl needs to pass on you, We have enough drivers sitting around crying and not enough shutting up and doing thier job.

    TraeDa6'5 Thanks this.

I kept my mouth shut, did my job, made all deliveries on time and still only averaged 1600 miles for the last 2 months.

You have been in trucking for 2 months, the tough part for you is it has been during a very bad economy and what are slow months to begin with. I have had a few trips out that have resulted in less than 2000 miles a week. That is trucking and you need to understand that. Does anyone really believe that you can make a fair assesment of a situation in 2 months. The pro footballs season is 4 months long so they can get a accurate view of the better teams. Go ahead and try another carreer right now and you will find that most industry in this country is hurting.
