Hi. I am having the same problem in regards to the upper radiator hose. It collapses in cold weather and after the engine cools. Did anyone find a fix for it?

Did you ever find a fix for the problem you had with the upper radiator hose? Any help is appreciated.

Is it the CM-871 or CM 870? What year... Sorry dude...

Man, I'm trying to think what it could be, and the only thing I can put my finger on is the head. When was the last overhead done, and have you rolled new bearings in underneath? What is the oil pressure like, above 25 at idle? The 870 is the odd duck out there, strong motor but quirky on a few things...

Cold idle 32-35 & hot idle 20-25. Runs great with no codes. Everything is stock. New EGR valve, EGR cooler & Turbo 3 weeks ago. Everything is good except the issue with the collapsing hose and running hot started around the same time. That is why I am concerned. The fan kicks on when it is supposed to (210), but it was never like this. I bought the truck used and I have not done an overhead set. It is next on my list. And I am not having any loss of coolant.
