Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
99% of Chicago 10-99 companies

If you don't need to be home for the weekend, let's say you will be able to do 3000 miles on ELD. That's $1950. Without ELD they would make you run 3500-4000 miles, so you would make about the same money. So yeah, I doubt that you will be making more

How do you pay your employee if you don't mind me asking? 1099 or w2? What type of benefits is he getting?
-
1099 means you pay all your social security, all your taxes, all your healthcare, worker's comp, and still get screwed with no unemployment if anything happens. You probably actually earn MINIMUM %65 of the pay so that's 39cpm. That's not even mentioning that most 1099 are not independent contractors and should not be paid on 1099, but W-2s.
HalpinUout Thanks this. -
He is not my employee, he is my immediate family member and gets a share of profit or a set pre-agreed daily amount, depending what's going. He gets 1099

No you can't. To make money betting someone else has to be willing to take the bet. This is like saying 'I bet you the sky won't be neon green tomorrow'. Of course it won't. Chicago will have a working way to beat ELD's within a week or two of their roll out. This assumes that they haven't already figured it out which is actually a super serious stretch I wouldn't take 10:1 (you get 1 I get 10) odds on.Express12$ Thanks this.
