Market Transport

On a related note, I had another trucker call me on the cb one night while I was doing the death spiral around a full truck stop in Lodi CA waiting for someone to leave, and after telling me about a spot about to open up, and helping me back in, we were talking.
He drove for Market Express "MX", and was in a nice brand new Volvo, and was telling me that the guy who started Market Transport and then sold it, decided he wanted to get back into trucking, and so he tried buying Market Transport back, and when he couldn't, he started another new company, and was trying to build it up to 100 drivers quickly, all with fresh from the dealer Volvo's.

I don't know where they are based, or anything else about them, but he seemed quite happy with them, and it sounded like they were aggressively hiring.
I got the impression they would be in the same field as Market Transport.

 

Well that didn't take long

 

Wondering how that local job in Puyallup worked out for you? I worked there years ago as an O/O and really enjoyed it. The harder you worked, the more money you made. Who were the dispatchers?
