ANY upgrades for power that you guys know of is great. this is how my truck is sitting right now. 525hp setting on c15 single turbo. Motor is clean with almost undetectible blow by. dual breathers. dual exhaust with mufflers(factory) 690k miles. fro???10c trans. 355 rears with pete flex air.

You have a MBN, just read the MBN thread at the top of this page and it will tell you everything. The motor is good, first thing is the mufflers gotta go then you need a older ecm or a reflash on your current ecm to older 6NZ C15 programming.
-
thanks yall i will check it out

You did not buy the wrong motor. That is exactly what I would look for.Right you have to spend a little money to make it run,but your changing all the parts you have to change on a 6NZ anyway.
-
Yes I agree, that is a good engine, just needs some software and a few small mods and you will be very have with the power and fuel mileage. Check out my thread above for results.

Ok i read the mbn thread lots of information for me to absorb.. I have a few questions. first i think i need to get rid of the mufflers/converters or whatever they are. Ive always had straights on every truck ive had but I don't have the money yet to put those "picketts" on. I thought about just putting in a straight pipe but will have to fab brackets and clamps and don't want to do all that. my quesiton is what kind of mufflers do you guys recommend. straight through and cheap will be best lol. then I want to upgrade in phases. don't won't to go in to the motor yet...but eventually will. any suggestions.

Cheapest and quickest upgrades to your motor are the fuel temp resistor and the 5232 codes for your injectors, but you really should get it flashed to a 6nz or get a 6nz ecm to put on,because that MBN program is not good for your engine.EGTs get too high.

I have noticed in tenth gear on a long hard pull the boost gauge says 37psi. then the check engine light will come on for a few seconds.. I hate that. anyway where or whois the best place to flash the ecm
-
Do you have your wastegate hose blocked on your turbo?Because it should not boost more than 28psi.If your boost is too high and the check engine light comes on it will derate (cut power back) and you won't get your power back until the code is cleared from the ecm.Problem with getting it flashed, you almost have to take the ecm off and send it away, unless there is somebody close to you that can do it.
