I was wondering why USAL drivers were looking at me like I kicked a puppy or something! I wish I had some info for you. I run the road here and was only going to Lincoln when there was a railcar shortage. I don't know the lanes there well. The money is good here and the equipment is also. My insurance is through my wife so I can't really help there. I've only seen 3 VTC drivers, including myself, on here so not sure if you'll get the answers you need. Good luck to you.

Thanks. I really only see Virginia drivers that handle the shuttle out of Lincoln.I know Virginia looks pretty on the out side but I'm hoping to learn what's under the hood.Is it forced dispatch or do you get to pick, mileage pay or percentage, home time, and what kind of insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) from the guys that are working there system.BigBob410 Thanks this.

forced dispatch no choice on where u go blue cross insurance 205 a week for family with a 500 deductible health ins is really really good here epuipment it top of the line no more then 3 years old well maintained choice of cx10 cx11 or cx9 quikloaders a lot of northeast midwest work but i'm sure lanes are gonna change. i live in middle tenn and on a 12 day rotation with 2 off home friday leave monday. easily make 90 plus here we got really good rates just need to close the deadhead up some paid percentage start at 25 with yearly increases up to 30. 2 weeks paid vacation 2 personal and 5 sick days. receive them as soon as u start no waiting a year till u can take a vacation paid holidays. i started here in 2014 over all it's a good place to work but they have there issues just like everywhereBigBob410, Tall Mike and Travisroland Thank this.

I see on the Ithaca and also on the Syracuse Craigslist that Virginia is hiring in NYS..
When freight rates drop back down (our van freight) I’m gonna give them a call.
I had a nice convo with the Moore recruiter Friday I’m interested in both.
Right now our thing is paying crazy good, not 9/10 car stinger good, but solid enough to hang around and be a door slammer for a while longer.
When our rates settle back down I’ll be looking.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
I run out of Baltimore. I usually head out on Monday and am home usually once during the week and every weekend..come in Saturday morning and leave on Monday morning. It is forced like @carhaulerjeff said..but if we have the freight I have asked to go certain places and have gotten those loads. It is definitely better than a lot of the others. I've been here since August and I've been happier here and made more then I did in a red truck. @Tall MikeTravisroland and Tall Mike Thank this.
