Got the same problem - in the shop now.
-
I guess get out and look down to make sure it is still there. That's the best info I can give you since you gave me nothing to go on. What are you driving?

2013 Volvo VNL 730w/ Ishift at 600k.
At first the mechanic at a Volvo dealership thought it was a software issue and thought updating it was enough since the fault codes were inactive. I told them that they needed to go for longer test drive than around the building like they did the first time). Got a call at 10 PM saying that the mechanic had the same problem that I'd complained about. After a tense day, they said it was just under 2 weeks left on the warranty and said it was covered. They had to order a new transmission and should be done by middle of next week.Talk about a luck. -
BTW - with out warranty, I was quoted little over $20 K. If I didn't have any warranty left I'll either replace it with a manual (not likely) or just get a low mileage used one from a salvage yard and just replace it or get rid of the truck. I love Ishift and I would rather replace the truck than loose it.

Good timing, almost like you just got 20k X/mas bonus

At first - it felt like as if the clutch was slipping then it got progressively worst. After few days - once cold it ran almost normally, after 80 - 90 miles, it starts to slip on incline / pulling up hill - I would feather the fuel pedal (few times) and it catches. It got worst and worst.
I first noticed it around Laramie heading out west, took it to a small Volvo shop in WY, few hundred $$ later they said the codes were gone. The truck would slow (slip) down to 35 mph or so then it would engage again and off I go. There were times where I had to pull over to a shoulder and start off again or even shut off / restart for gears to engage. I delivered in Portland, OR, pick up in Tacoma, WA, final out in Surrey, BC.I pick up in Aberdeen, Wa, pick up in Tacoma, WA - with drops in Billings, Mt - Truman, MN - Minneapolis, MN - Janesville, WI - finaled out in Goshen, IN on Saturday. I camped out in Fremont, In at the Petro over the rest of the weekend. Monday I started making calls. Vomac in New Haven, IN were back up to the end of the week, towing/truck shop across the street from Petro had no faith on their skill to properly diagnose / fix Ishift and the Volvo up in MI said that they could look at it asap. I didn't even know if the warranty on my truck (transmission) was valid at the time. I've heard how dealers are making what ever excuses to void the warranty but I guess, I lucked out.sunbunhd11239 Thanks this. -
Ok. I change all gear control sensors and wire inside transmission. Pay $3000. Working good
