Yeh, he's working for one of those companies that tries to break down the idle time, for their records. Short medium and long. They count all of it against you...most the time.
What a pain in the ### I'd have to pull the wire loss and let her run if I got too cold.

I do the same. Man it's tough getting up and cranking that truck so it can warm before you get dressed.

At Schneider they taught us to take a strip of copper wire with a butt connector on one end and an alligator clip on the other. Take the end with the butt connector and jam it in the center hole of diagnostic port. Take the alligator clip and find some metal to ground off on. Your dash board will die, speed 0 tach 0, qualcomm will also read 0. At least it worked on the old cabovers we had. After a few uses however the computer in the truck would get twitchy and started developing CPU problems.
This was an old 1998 Intl COE and this was back in 2003.Last edited: Nov 22, 2008

Hah, yeah listening to truckers will always get you in trouble!! I guess the ones that know keep their mouths shut?!? Never quite figured that out...
At any rate, in answer-- It's a International 9400i with regular old-school qualcomm in it, not the newfangled color screen ones with solitaire and freecell on 'em. -
LOL
I am happy to work for a company that don't track us. -
I knew the new QC talked to you, but havent seen a color one with video games on it. How cool.
-
Cabover? Did it have a crank start in the grill?
When I drove COE cells were not even out yet, lone enough qual com..........
-
Yeah, I drove an '08 prostar for a sec' that had the new system in it. You could mash a button on dash and it would literally read the messages aloud to you.
It had a touch screen and WindowsCE, so I guess the developers threw in Solitaire and Freecell for shhttts and giggles. Solitaire was playable, but Freecell was not... There simply wasn't enough real estate on the screen for a full stack of cards! DOUGH!! -
ha ha, it felt like it sometimes. But I do miss the hugh queen bed in the back and just rolling out of bed over the huge doghouse and -pop- your driving down the hwy.

Well thats Winblows and QC for ya.
