May I ask what you were using to connect to the truck? Usually NEXIQ and INLINE are the only recommended adapters.
-
inline 5 For now.. Gonna buy a jpro which should work for insite too.
-
I have never had a disconnect with NEXIQ, I chose it over INLINE, because of compatibility with my other trucks. Works great.

Looking for a pro version of cummins insite
-
I was reading that of you use the updated software on on the celect and celect plus N14 it could actually freeze and or lock the ecm? How much truth is in this does anyone know? Also if I was looking for the software for these older engines where would I look? I would like to be able to do everything from checking codes to reprogramming horse and torque levels. I own a few with these engines

If you don't get an answer here, head over to Rawze.com... I would also call the shop you deal with and ask them what they are using. I have the eBay Inline 5 for my CM-871 and it works fine. But no clue on these older motors. The CM-870 was one of the first that you could really get into to tune, that I do know.

This is what you are probably referring to. Current versions of Insite will work just fine. If you want to re-calibrate engines with different power ratings, you still need Insite Pro which isn't free, then each time you re-calibrate an ECM it cost money again.SAR, GrapeApe and Ironhauler Thank this. -
Hello Sam. Can you still get all the keys for INSITE 7.6.2.240? I had to replace the hard drive in my toughbook and all my diagnostic software still works except INSITE. It is asking for a key.Last edited: Apr 6, 2018
