c,mon.......Sitting at a dock 3-4 hours-He supposed to do what? Most folks are napping-And you know that.
I Guess he was supposed to sit there staring at his gauge cluster-Or open up his rand mcnally large print atlas and just memorizing villages right? Or play with the smartphone while yawning in the drives seat?.......
Hmmm........Didn't know we are supposed to do that- Still learning I guess.

it again shows how idiotic the HOS are. you can work a few hours but if the time off isn't in gov't approved time segments it doesn't count.
DOGSLIFE Thanks this. -
@Trucker2211 Your problem is two-fold,
- Dispatcher not planning well (communicating with the reciever)
- You/your company not using HOS properly - irrespective of Elog/HOS rules
We have proven that 8/2 split or straight 10 sleeper would have worked - so there...Blame e-logs all you want, but there is no case.
Now, wrt to bodily challenges to making the brain sleep upon demand, that's a problem that elogs cannot address. It's like blaming elogs when you cannot drive at night due to poor vision.KANSAS TRANSIT and Ristow Thank this. -
I'm all for the government putting a chip in your hand so they can track you as a person. How many of you eloggers are for that?
-
Northeast drivers gonna have real fun finding parking now with more drivers on E-Logs
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
You do realize that if you carry a cell phone you can already,,,,,,,,,,,oh never mind, you'll just come up with some other bizarre scenario, lolnax Thanks this.
-
This I will agree with, there are a lot of places we need more parking, but not just because of e-logs.
-
The next mandate for 2018 will deduct hrs off your 70 whenever the truck moves automatic. So if you drive from a bull pen to a recievers door it gets deducted from your 70. But not your 14
-
How can that be? I'm not saying your wrong but any thing out of the 70 comes from the 11/14 totals
-
I have a friend works for another company they have 3 drivers testing it now. With computers anything is possible with programing. He did say his fleet has 300 trucks so aslong as they continue to use old elogs current in the fleet there is a 2 yr exemption. However if you buy new the exemption is void
