well if they go under think about all the used tractors that will be on the market you could probably pick up for cheap, and think of all the freight that have to be moved by other companies

I bet with the economy so bad, that most of the big companies will eventually go just team...

True they will have a lot of tractors sitting, but if they have all those students waiting once training is done thier only option will be to team or lease.
Looks like USX is trying to start a new era. :biggrin_2554: As long as people go along with it they will continue.

They may restructure. But I doubt they go out of business.

I wonder how this is affecting Total Transportation...as they are joined at the hip.

Don't forget Arnold as well. I just had to stop driving for USX last month due to wifes health.

$ as in cheap, always seemed to be the bottom line at USX, but I never really had a worthwhile whine about them other than no right side fender mirrors.
To bad they're treating the solos like this, I wonder how many other co's will be following this, and do the same. I've been with three big co's, and each one seemed to pander to teams. So much for quality of life while driving eh?:biggrin_2554::biggrin_2554:

Oh well.... Montana Sights and Easton arrows still show products that were dropped from production....5 years ago.

If you're too cheap to pay drivers for solo work. What makes you think they'll spend the money on revamping an old web page?

Might be one of those deal that some runs are becoming teams, not the whole company. I would venture to say that those Dollar General and Meijer runs are not becoming teams since that would make no sense, because 1 driver would never be doing anything. Them guys are at the DC and then out and right back usually overnight or 2 nights.

In fact I talked to a USX driver and he said that he knew nothing about any teams or any thing like that. He did here though, that they are doing away with their training programs due to ecomomic problems.

That doesn't really mean anything, as usually the rank & file drivers are the last to know anything...lol
