Western Plains, your needs may or may not fit while driving OTR. In this biz, you give up a lot, because getting the freight delivered is No. 1....Not replenishing your dietary wants. here's the problem.......PARKING that truck plus, check into the 34 hr reset rules. It's not something that's a normal weekly routine. You can run off your re-cap forever ! Good luck !
tscottme and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
So are all the rest. Regardless of your needs the truck only has so much space.
If you're able to talk to your trainer ahead of time you can work out with them how much there is for you. Maybe they have a good size fridge, maybe they just have a small cooler.
I see large amounts of water and eggs being a problem. Stuff that will go in a duffel bag that you can share your bunk with not so big an issue.tscottme, CrappieJunkie and Dan.S Thank this. -
I'm all for eating healthier but to me it sounds like Richard Simmons wants to be a truck driver.... Just my 2cents

How can I ease off of something that is happening even now, and to an ever increasing extent?
I just go with the flow...tscottme, TaterWagon#62, morpheus and 1 other person Thank this. -
Drive local bud.
I eat good real food and hit the gym 5 days a week.
I would never be able to do that running otr so I don’t.
Btw protein powder isn’t meant to be a meal replacement.
The money local isn’t much less than otr if not better. Depends what you do but I make 300 less a week than my friend who runs teams and spends his life in a truck.tscottme, CrappieJunkie and Dan.S Thank this. -
No offense but..
video when your trainer picks u and your 10 gallons water up.bottomdumpin, tscottme, morpheus and 1 other person Thank this. -
3 weeks of non filtered water and no special powder/ eggs is not going to hurt you.
After that, your truck can be your temple.tscottme, TravR1 and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
As a trainer I can work around almost everything you listed - but I only have my guys for 5-7 days.
The water filter is fine for when the truck isnt moving, but youd better think of how to secure it so it doesnt slosh all over my stuff.
Its great that youre looking out for your health, but as someone else said - after the first conversation dont keep bringing it up. I eat more than a pound of cheese a week. I like it and I have no wish to go to my highschool reunions now, so I dont care about getting to the 90th. Do your thing, and do it so it doesnt impact your trainer.Lepton1, tscottme, tinytim and 1 other person Thank this.
