Yes, they claimed to have saved the company 3 million by doing away with FLW...strange, CEO just got a 3 million bonus...Puppuller 57, drvrtech77, BackIsSore and 2 others Thank this.

No he’s still not giving fake news since Walmart loves to say your mileage pay is what everything is combined with all the activities. With the cuts in stop pay and mileage I’m sure they’ll be a lot less than the upper 60 cpm’s most drivers are making under the old scale.
The new pay package is not attractive and not worth even defending Driver.slim6596 and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
It's not for me to defend, but i don't think you should post erroneous info on a thread read by people thinking of working for Wal-Mart. You will not be making .15cpm less than drivers already here, and the only way someone would make 1/2 of what other drivers make here its if they are on a part time schedule and we don't know how the schedules are gonna work yet, so no sense in speculating.

When current drivers are making 80-100k a year and the new drivers will hit 60 to maybe 80 if they give up their life to live in a truck, I'd say there is a big paycut somewhere. None of this is made up BS and is what Walmart is giving to their new hires. When a senior driver can hit 50 cpm in just a few years and a new hire will only make 38 cpm, that is already a 12 cpm difference in pay before taking in the lowered activity pay as well. I'm not sure why you're arguing with everyone, it's a big difference in pay mike.
foggy, drvrtech77 and ChevelleRednReady Thank this. -
Mike3Fan loves nothing more than to defend WMT's honor. Lol. Mike how do you feel about Walmart's profits and sales beating expectations? Do you think they should still be cutting new drivers pay and changing schedules now that they don't have the sinking profits excuse??
slim6596, drvrtech77 and BackIsSore Thank this. -
Run the numbers against your own green bar and show me the difference, I've done it and it's not that dramatic. Would i have come here under the new Pay structure, more than likely not.
Remember that they will still be getting a weekend premium and safety bonus will be the same that you get, i don't think it's un realistic for a new hire at our dc to make 80k. -
80k extending and sleeping in numerous trucks 5 nights a week is not enough for a professional driver that can call the shots on where they work at. Run your green bars a few years from now against LTL line drivers while they continue to get 2-3 cpm raises each year and no increase to medical while Walmart is so generous with their 1% raise and 20-40 percent increases in health bennies.
But thank golly they're announcing record business, better cut more driver bennies!Sky High, Triumph 1, ChevelleRednReady and 1 other person Thank this. -
That is not extending and 4 nights in a truck and three in your own bed. Ltl is not for everyone, and home every night jobs are not all ideal either, I've did that and it got old real quick.
Still a good job here that is relatively easy and pay is fair, could it all change of course, but just be truthful in your criticism.
