    I really dont beat on it, 35-40lbs of boost tops unless i want to show off. I hardly use the cruise too as its to aggressive when speed drops, just pegs the boost gauge. I get very good millage because of the way i drive it im sure, i like the idea of the big power being there when i need it, and trust me i do use it, but i take it easy on the truck.

    I finally replied to your email.

    Oh and by the way, i had 40k lbs in the trailer, running 72mph and averaging 6.5mpg over some hills.

    I havent done OTR trucking with this manifold and turbo after i put it on till now but from what i can see the exhaust temps drop a lot faster after a pull and its about 250-300*F cooler then before.

    DDS posted:

    I overhauled a 6nz last week, flashed to 7cz file with 0/0 look up numbers. Has a 58 injectors and 800 hp marine camshaft. Truck put 735 hp at 1500 rpm to the wheels with under 1000 egts. I have not put the fuel numbers to it yet, want to break it in. Your 7cz has 57 injectors, the 58s would add good hp with good fuel numbers.

    How much do you think the camshaft contributed to this combination? What about the 58 injectors? I have a 7CZ 03178 that I would like to try out with this cam and injectors.

    I have installed 58s, 7cz turbo with the same 600 flash without the cam in a 2ws. I have not loaded on the dyno yet but customer says pyro will go over 1000 and his water temperature is up. It is in a International 9900, so it has small air cans, smaller rad and a gutted out under side muffler. The one I installed the cam to was a pete with straight pipes and a new rad. I will be loading the 2ws on the dyno next week, will let you know the power difference.

    I'm probably wrong,but I don't think there is a huge power increase,that is,just swapping the cam.I heard of maybe 20-30 hp,but it does wonders for low end torque.Now if you go injectors also,you will see more smoke,but it will make a pretty big difference (probably 80-100hp)

    859hp at 1600rpm is 2810lbft, 888hp at 1800rpm is 2591lbft. With 10% loss that makes about 3122lbft and 2879lbft at the flywheel. It might make more torque under 1600rpm though.

    Torque=HPx5252/rpm

    550 & DDS I have 98 6ts 475 set at dealer new to 550 at 1851, not miss print thats what laptop said i seen it. i had 5232 trimm codes and put turbo off 2000 factory 550, i think 2WS. i have boost harnes and fuel harnes, had to take fuel harnes off because engine lt comes on after fuel heats up. truck runs good until you run with something that runs good. would like to put 650 to 700 at rear wheels. have B manifold to put on any help would be appreciated. thanks for any advice

    The engine responds very well to fuel number changes. Do you have the engine serial number? That engine may have 58 injectors from the factory. I worked on a 455hp 6ts, new 58 injectors, 5232 and just some fuel numbers, truck put 619hp to the wheels with the fan on! It was higher that I thought. I am flashing that same engine to a 600hp this weekend, will let you know how that goes.
