Happy as all get out. Yeah I know I am not Mike. And no I do not defend Walmart's Honor. Really no need. If folks want to work here they can make a good living. If not they are free as anyone to go call their shot somewhere else.

The schedule change is not new. Semper Gumby man. The only constant at Wal-Mart is change. It is called evolving in a retail landscape.

If we do not get the new guys they need, they will adjust. Right now decent trucking jobs are few and far between. Sprimo or England will rent you let you be an O/O for 30k a year and have a mobile home for your troubles. Because there is a line of folks waiting to get in there.

Keep defending it, it’ll be fun to watch you guys still say it’s a better job than most when all these rumors of layover and weekend pay being taken away in March come to light.

Rumors. Funny they told us their plan knowing how many were going to be pissy about it heading into peak. Now folks are bound and determined to make it worse than it is based off "some guy posted to facetwat that this is the new pay".

Fact is as of right now your pay has not been cut one red cent. Not one. If any of these rumors prove true all of us will have the same decision to make. Stay or leave. No sense being all melodramatic about it now when there is zero proof of the new drivers pay, any more unannounced changes, or a legitimate source for how the realignment bids are going to work out.

The team building that is still working on it, and all the outside bids. No one knows what that will be. Everything out there right now is pure speculation.

Yes it hasn’t been cut, but it has been frozen with that beautiful one percent bonus raise. I use to think the hearsay was bs, but most of it has come true. Keep fighting what you know is right and telling yourself it will be ok. The Hatchetman is on a mission to get rid of any perk that a normal otr carrier doesn’t offer.

Speaking for myself , i wouldnt consider working for anyone paying .38cpm ,
My out of pocket healthcare is 6850 dollars for a single at wally
    & over 13000 for a married driver
Every other company i worked at , made there healthcare affordable & had excellent insurance

Only the pay scale has been frozen. Annuals are still in effect to top out.

Not even the first year that has been done.

Folks it is #### simple. We are competing against outside carriers. It is a fact we are more expensive in dollars and cents. Our advantage is in flexibility, service, and control. Then we get drivers who purposely pad hours to have only an hour or two during extensions knowing full and #### well every truck is needed to handle blitz.

Those same folks will complain that they are being replaced when they left no other option. When I started one of the other guys in orientation made a comment about being a trucking company. Murphy stopped him and said these words "You need to understand one thing. We are not a trucking company. We are here to support the stores. That is our mission. Our only mission. The stores pay us to service them."

Those words have always stuck with me. Then I see folks purposely sabotaging that effort when they are needed most. Oddly enough they are usually the same guys the loudest in decrying how horrible their job is, and is going to become.

My advice to them is quit. Leave now. That will solve a fair amount of stress in their lives.

Is that the smoking rate? I did not think mine was that high and I still have kids on mine. It is cheaper for my wife to get her own insurance.

    Just looked mine is $39.10

That moment you know a guy has only worked for cheap OTR carriers and hasn't been at this place for more than a year or two.

    Over 3 actually.

However instead of snide comments offer where one statement is incorrect.
