Since you graduated you've been looking for work, but could find nothing in your field of study.
Maybe did some odd jobs for cash, around the neighborhod and maybe drew unemployment if you can prove the unemployment checks.
Some on this forum hadn't worked for years and still found decent driving jobs. They weren't students either.Dugan_nash Thanks this. -
Thanks for the advice, makes me feel a bit better about the situation and my chances of landing work at one of these nicer companies.

Apply to more than one and see if one or all of them accept you.
Contract Freighters
Trailiner Corp.
FFE (Frozen Food Express)
Apply to those 3 and if that doesn't work, there's more to try. All 3 might contact you and want to set up a class start date.Dugan_nash Thanks this. -
Christmas day is just like any other day provided we are loaded and rolling. We were in a medicine type loads with high dollar value freight that has to be in the hospital given to the sick the next day no matter what. Since they don't get to enjoy christmas, why should we take time off and make that medicine not get there?
Certain trucking the freight falls off bigly so to speak over the holidays such as flatbedding. I cannot complain too much about the mounds of money they sent me to sit a week in say, texakarna of all places a whole week just to be in a position to load when they got through with the holidays.
Don't worry, we still have celebrate the Savior on Christmas Day just not on that exact day sometimes.WesternPlains Thanks this.
