@freightwipper probably can answer your questions.
Know anything about Colonial Freight Systems lease program? www.cfsi.com
Colonial's corporate office in Knoxville, Tennessee, is the center of operation for our terminal offices across the United States. While the terminal offices handle local scheduling and contribute to the smooth efficiency of our shipping network, the corporate headquarters coordinates the overall system.
Colonial is a 100% owner-operator company. Operators or operator-drivers must meet Colonial's stringent driver requirements before they are qualified. All operators are required to attend Colonial's 3-day, in-house orientation before they are dispatched to haul freight.Last edited: Nov 29, 2017

Schneider takes the hair from your leg or arm, no big deal.
I'm guessing you all are a team, best you'd do is $1.20-$1.30 per mile there (not worth it) .
if you really want to make money get a truck and don't lease onto somewhere that controls your freight, all companies will give you the screw.
I'm lease on somewhere now paying 90% and I book pretty much whatever I want in the open market. Can do $2+ with ease no problem at all. Usually between $3-$4 a mile.
Pick wisely , there's a lot of money out here... Don't let the carrier keep most all of it.Justrucking2, Coachman1 and rpangburn Thank this. -

Dont know where you are located at but Tyson does alright by their teams as I understand it. Ive talked to some over te years working here and for the most part they are happy. They will run you but they do their best to get you home when you need to be. you can pm me if you have any questions.

I wouldn't recommend Schneider for oc 5 teams. The ones we have now tend to struggle as there isn't much team freight.
Go solo and you can each gross upwards of 160k + each.
Then again, if you have 0 experience as a business owner, I'd hold off. You can easily get in over your head not knowing a lot of things.
If you want to gain experience as owner operators, I'd recommend JCT. They have tons of team freight and cater to teams. Good equipment, very well spec'd out trucks.firemedic2816, 48Packard and rpangburn Thank this. -

Might seem that way by the way carriers pay drivers and flease drivers peanuts but in actuality there's a lot of money out here.
Sooo many drivers have no idea how ripped off they're getting out here.Justrucking2, nightgunner and 386lover Thank this.
