I recall only one employer, TBH of Westminster Maryland.

one day I went into the office downtown to apply, interview and see about getting hired. There was rain that day and they had time for me. 18 wheel low boys surrounded the back lot behind the office outside of the windows waiting for a day's work.

Here I am sitting there with my fancy class A cdl and all the trimmings. Record was clean etc.

They said I was over qualified. BS. what is the real reason? Erm you wear hearing aids. Oh good, you just gave me a million dollar golden ticket vs the ADA laws. Seeing that I am qualified with them to run a big truck or little truck anywhere.

Excepting one little problem. A employer of drivers MAY select hires based on a more strict preference rather than just industry or federal standards of qualifications.

Many decades later I would do that exact same work with Razorback before returning to the big road, and we did not hear a word anywhere from anyone about my limitations. Not to mention the fact that I used to deliver cement into TBH Westminster a number of times myself. They should be grateful. But are not.

That is about the only time I was told my Class A was over qual, That's BS while pointing out the 18 wheeler low boys through the windows in front of the VP's own lying eyes. I know when I am not wanted. So moved on.

I have a history of crossing swords with big time suits from that time forward. I actually enjoy it too. But they are the ones who sign the pay checks lol.

That still doesn't account for the braille lettering on my steering wheel cruise control???

If no one ever told you X1, this group of guys is lucky to have you to kick around,
err, I mean to lend us guidance and direction. You do have a way with words.
