Inside the store or at the tire care?

Here is the outfit to get all of your needed fittings. I have one local to me, and if they don't have it, it is not made. They sell in bulk and their prices are hard to beat. They only sell top of the line fittings, none of that Chinese stuff. ParkerStore / Service | Exotic Automation & SupplyHalpinUout Thanks this.

The one I deal with didn't know that fittings had to be made to dot specs.

Parker? I use the Farmington store here in Michigan. You do need to go through their catalog to find the proper fittings, as they carry thousands of them, none to my knowledge are DOT certified, you just need to choose the proper fitting. All of the specs are there, from operating pressures, temperatures, sizes, etc. Match those criteria and you are good. Stay with brass fittings for brake airlines, find the proper specs and you will be fine as far as the DOT goes.
On the plastic push fittings, the small ones like on your air ride seats, same thing, look at the specs for max pressure and if used outside the truck, temp ratings along with the OK for outdoor use. You would be amazed at how many of those air line push fittings there are and variety of sizes and materials.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Any large hardware store has them. Look in kitchen gas hardware area.Dont know if they are DOT approved, but ive never had anybody checking it anyway.

Ya, I've never had them checked at a inspection either.

My local Parker store is up to date on DOT required fittings. I was impressed with him.

I've never asked, I just check the specs and get my parts.
