Anyone with a soldiering iron can build one. Roger beep(s) was the first thing I worked on way back in the 70's, simple circuit to design and build. The schematic is out on the internet - has been since 1995.

Formac radios used different surplus chassis'. Starting with the Formac 20 all the way through the 700, most common was the 88 if I remember right.

The info is there, any tech can find the info if they want. Most of the parts - transistors and such - are all still out on the market but you have to track it down.
