I don't remember how many hours I think 4... Google "valve adjustment" and it will show you what it is.

CAC = charge air cooler. I would ask your mechanic to pressure test the charge air cooler with the turbo inlet hose/pipe still connected to the CAC. I've seen mechanics just test the CAC and never test the hoses. If they had tested the hose, they would of noticed the hole on the back side.HalpinUout, 4noReason and RERM Thank this.

So, before you do anything, check the oil....smell it, if it smells like fuel.....How's the engine temperature, oil temp and the idle...is it a little rough .....????4noReason Thanks this.

Also, do an oil analysis....go to CAT in Hammond, buy a sample kit, take it to CAT....they get back to you in less than a week........it can be, illuminating and can tell you what's up....
4noReason Thanks this. -
ill smell it. i check it daily. temps all good. idle smooth.RERM Thanks this.
-
can i do it by myself?and i just mail it or do i take it back to them? ill def do it
-
Do it yourself, you buy the kit with a pump and suck out the oil via the dipstick tube...(YouTube is your friend)....then, you can mail it, take it to Hammond Cat (5 minutes from the yard) or better yet, take it to CAT in Elmhurst where the lab is, and that all makes the process that much quicker than snail mail......4noReason Thanks this.
