I have a W900 with a Detroit 60 and the upper radiator pipe rusted and broke. Anyone found a way to replace the pipe without the original part? The part is hard to come by and expensive.

I see ads all the time in the truck paper about replacing coolant tubes and the co, that makes them. Don't know about price though
-
180 bucks shouldn’t be that unreasonable for a replacement pipe for an owner operator. Fabricator probably gonna cost more. Come one now
-
I could make it out of mild steel and powdercoat it for that price.. but yes stainless would be more.. and no 180 isn't all bad.. especially if it broke on friday and needs to be rollin on monday.

thats the problem though, guys like you aren’t a stones throw around the corner. Everyone with a truck wishes guys like you were their neighbor
-
I had mine replaced and they had it at the first freightliner dealer I checked at in Knoxville
-
Yea i know dont getta work on my rigs half the time cause the neighbors always got somethin broken.. propably saves me 60/70 percent in repair bills yearly cause I do 95 % of my own work.. I believe every o/o should know how to do as much as there physically capable of..
Lepton1 Thanks this.
