I have a 2003 Volvo 770, I want to pull dry van. Looking for companies that provide the trailer and have all the nice little perks . I’m not looking to lease under mega company small to medium size companies. Any recommendations would be appreciated .

Don't get in a hurry. Look around and do your homework.

Why not just get your own trailer and authority then run load boards or hook up with a dispatch only company?

Well. It is a good way to save up some income. I leased on first but soon discovered that I didn't like getting ripped off..... i mean, I had some trips that were 140 miles and I was making about $90 on those. After awhile, it just stopped making sense for me to run that way.

Maybe you'll have better luck. I hope so anyway.

No I’m right there with you, I want to be doing my own thing. I feel like leasing is only a little different from being a company driver. I want to buy a trailer and hit the load boards and some brokers and make my own money

I'm in the Northeast but I work for a company that's in the Evans network of companies . They have agents all around US . Each of the offices does things different Van, flatbed, containers etc but you get great perks either way like fuel discounts , paid road taxes , cheap bobtail insurance etc . You get the perks of a mega company while working with a smaller agent with 10-30 drivers .
