BXS ecm will not work on a 6NZ.
Thanks anyway.
-
ya, I tried to back flash a bxs to a 6nz, comes up with flash error.
-
So if one is looking for an ecm to flash what serial code ecms will work?
-
Mbn,6nz,7cz,2ws
YukonTrucker Thanks this. -
1MM will work too thats of a 600hp 3406E, when they went to the 70pin in 1999 but those are pretty rare.
CaterpillarWrench Thanks this. -
just tossed the mufflers in the scrap pile. put 6 inch straights on. Now thats what a cat is supposed to sound like! got a nice low tone at around 1500rpm. Have not had a chance to load it yet but I can tell its better. throttle responce better. However I can really feel it cut out in the last two gears. As soon as boost comes up it falls on its facelike a wimp.
-
Its probably de-rating, how much boost are you seeing?
-
31.5 or so empty an 35 or so on a real long hard pull.
-
Yeah it de-rating, does the boost fluctuate up and down between 25-30psi? Check your wastegate line for cracking and make sure the valve thats behind the fuel filter base on the drivers side is plugged in to the harness. As soon as that ecm sees 33psi it will de-rate.
If you tried blocking the wastegate then leave it open.
