no it does not flucuate. i checked lines and no visual leaks. you know now that I think about it when i feel the de-rate in the last two gears it acually falls off well before it gets near 30 psi, it is a very noticable power loss a little before 20 psi. when the power falls off it will still pull and the boost will run up to around 35 psi max. but I can feel it when I shift gears and get on it it goes like this.. shift, then throttle....wait for turbo to spool and when it does get to about 20 psi Bam! derate.
c15 at 525 setting is still weak to me. help please

I bet that #### boost control solenoid (fuel filter base) is acting up and sending bad readings to the ecm. I know mine went bad, its a common thing too. Unless its unplugged from the engine harness?
-
I went outside and checked. all wiring connections made. I see a solenoid facing toward the front of the engine at a downward angle attached to a block between the filter base and engine block. Is that the solenoid your talking about?
-
No, the one im talking about is where the 2 steel lines from the head go to.
-
Ive got another clue. when I do get that 35psi the check engine light will come on for a few seconds and go out. when I had hp turned up at kw shop he checked for codes. None to be found. you know I bobtailed up there and never made the engine light come on. Is it resetting itself when I turn off the key you think.
-
Nah the ecm should log a check engine fault code, something is not right. I bet its that valve too.
-
I forgot to tell ya mine would always do this in high elevations under load, even though i didnt see over 28psi the ecm would de rate the motor, CAT told me that the pressure differences are screwing wit the boost valve and i need to "update it"
-
new flash will do no good till i get this fixed or will it
-
New flash will get rid of this problem due to it gets rid of the 33 max boost limit. Check you opening pressure of you wastgate, Is there play in the pin? Very common to wear out the pin on the actuator resulting in erratic or high boost faults. Also, if the dealer rerated and installed wrong fls and fts, the fuel flow may be high resulting in this fault.

DDS how do i check the wastegate opening pressure. Is it vacum operated? Also can you flash the ecm for me If I get it from 550w9l? If so pm me and I will contact you for details
