Ketoacidosis is a very dangerous situation to be in, it leads to coma and death if not treated asap. It is a true medical emergency. It can happen fast enough if you are driving to turn your rig into a flying dutchman mashing everyone else in the way.

 

I see "non-cdl driving" jobs almost every day on jobs websites. The jobs I've seen advertised are for driving small box trucks, cargo vans, automobiles, pickup trucks.
Check for those and enter "non-cdl driving" on those websites.
Some websites are "careerbuilder", "monster", "indeed".

 

I am also a diabetic. After you do get it controlled you might be able to go to oral meds. I also take an injectable once a week ( non insulin) good luck. I'm glad you caught it a lot don't

 

What were your a1c results? Sorry not trying to pry but it seams strange that you have to be insulin dependent so early. Find out if you are able to transition to oral meds while maintaining control.

Why I had to get off the road and work locally cause I knew if I continued OTR something like this could of happened to me as in diabetes runs in the family. I was having a lot of odd issues when I was extremely overweight and on the road and I was only 33. This might be a blessing in disguise to work on your health before it got worse.
