After reading thru all of this I have a question,,,,,how the hell do you wear out the toes of a pair of boots before the rest of the boot?????
When i'm just driving and not going into plants etc. I wear a pair of Tony Lama cowboy boots that are over 15 years old. I like them cause you never have to worry about slipping of the clutch or brake pedals.GetonwithiT Thanks this. -

So I finally bought my boots. After a couple weeks and tons of research I purchased the Red Wing 2412's. I went with these because they met all my needs. Waterproof, slip resistant, 8 inch height, steel toe and just very comfortable. Here are some pics and a link to the boots themselves. Thanks again to everyone that replied with their suggestions.
