You interpret what we said as “bullying?” Do you even know how ludicrous the post is? Did you even bother to read the title of the post? No I think not. O/P is someday going to buy a truck and run under my numbers? I’m all for helping people but get real with this. Since you are throwing names at all of us, you sir are bullying.

    Joetro Thanks this.

Let's not lose it (like I do). Tough love or tact? Idk. Unfortunately the printed word doesn't always convey the correct emotion or thought.

The whole point (imho) is that the OP is still too green. He needs to learn more and make a business plan. Ask questions to help develop that plan not just say hay I got a truck can I run with you?

Either that, Or has no care in the World what the consequences may be

I've known a few people like that........Take the dumbest risks without knowing any circumstances just because They can AND have money or family to baby them in case it don't work out.

Same with this scenario- Some 22 year old kid on a farm with Wrenches and a couple tobacco chewin family members buying scrap and junk n trailers n old trucks thinking Nothing will stop them and they'll smirk whether they can survive with a truck or not.

The OP here..........Who knows with him, but to me it seems like it doesn't matter to him whether it works or not.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. It seems to me that people in modern times no longer have a firm grasp on language. It is possible to inform someone you feel they are headed down the wrong path, but without resorting to vulgarities such as:

"Because you don't have a clue of what it takes to buy a truck."
"Are you gona buy a white Vulva?..."
"Get Real, Doesn't work like that"
    "Smh"
    "Lol surely you’re joking"
"I have some ocean front property in Az I'll sell ya cheap, even finance it"

At worst, this is the type of behavior you would see on the school yard. At best, it's fear of another O/O possibly taking freight away from your loads.

Perhaps you were not raised with the saying of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."? Based on the reactions on this post - as well as others on this platform - an educated guess would render a hypothesis that one of two things is true.

    1) You were not, in which case, this may explain your lack of empathy towards a fellow driver (green or not), but it does not excuse the behavior you exhibit
    or
    2) You were, and you just don't care - which, again, does not excuse your behavior.

However, I did not sign up for this forum in order to give anyone a lesson in politeness and etiquette, I came here seeking information. Perhaps the best thing to do, when dealing with those who fail to understand a simple concept as compassion towards fellow person, is to simply ignore them.

While you are exercising your rights granted under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights, perhaps you should be made aware that you are in violation of Article 1.

The internet is not exempt from something so basic as acting towards others with some measure of lenity. Otherwise, we diverge into that in which we should not venture.

Though I am ####sure that my words will hold no sway over you, I know it will others. Perhaps they will reach out and offer the courtesy towards those who would inquire, since it seems you lack the ability to.

Good day to you sir, and I shall pay heed to you no longer.

Personally I'd rather get a nitty gritty in your face response than a sugar coated, coddled, politically correct, feel good response that in all honesty,.. does not help or do anyone any justice or good.

This business is full of drivers who want to buy a truck and still have someone else tell them where to go and how to do it. If thats all you want,. stay with Walmart or Fed Ex.

Sorry,.. but I feel hand holding is the same as being micromanaged in my opinion.

This is trucking,.. its a mans business, (I've seen some manly women too,.. no disrespect to the big mamma's) But,.. better get some thick skin, because there is no room for dainty little prissy boys at the table here.

Wow this thread really opened up! I already did my research, have the money, just asking where to get a good truck, AND, I don't have my own authority so... Which O/O would like me to run under their authority.
I'm Just asking for some help, maybe I didn't write a 200 word business plan to truckersreport nor do I have to. There is a lot of freight to go around and I'm green? So what? Weren't you. I don't have to make low wages and get ripped off company driving.
