Last time I was at one, you had to be n the dock at your appointment time, had to show up half an hour early to do that, but a friend had told me all about it. More than half an hour, they'd turn you away.

It's been a long time, like I said. Tomah, WI, had a lot across the road from the place.

Everybody going to driving like UPS, FedEx soon. This equals more rollovers. And more ditches being Primed.

    Oh puleeease...

You know nothing about me. Otherwise you would know I'm far from "pro government."

What? That doesn't even make sense. You're grasping at straws man. No, it's the equivalent of having locks on doors and cameras in stores--to enforce the laws and catch people trying to steal. It's the equivalent of having speed cameras and cops patrolling the roads--to enforce the laws and catch people going 90 mph. It's the same as a call center having cameras inside to catch people writing down callers' personal info and walking off with it.

If the government wanted everyone to wear ankle bracelets all the time, I'd push back as hard as I could. This is much different.

Not necessarily, tmc, pgt, btc, all trains new drivers, and makes sure experianced drivers know how to fill one out. Even my current company gives you multiple scenarios and has you fill out a paper log as you would if it was you driving.

It's on these companies to be accountable for what their drivers are trained, and it's on the drivers to ask when they aren't sure.

Government only wants truckers to be accounted for every minute in a truck. So shouldn't we be paid for every minute?

I delivered to the Ochelata, OK DC and hit the gate right on time. However; when I got to the receiving desk, I was told I was late. It isn't when you sign in at the gate, it's when you sign in at the receiving desk. What a bunch of BS. The only thing I like about Walmart is it's usually outside of town a ways and there's plenty of room to maneuver.

no he was up like 28 hours before the wreck. he was clearly out of control. i don't recall if he was over on his duty clock tho. he had driven like 18 hours to get to the terminal then got in the truck as i recall. my numbers are likely off a bit. but yeah, hos and eld will have no prevention in that scenario. i guess we need even MORE supervision.

fix the hos and i'll go get an elog. i friggin hate filling logs out. and who the hell wants to do FRACTIONAL MATH at then end of a work day?

Again, it's on the companies to make sure their drivers are trained correctly. I listed 3 above that train then on how to fill out a paper log.
