Not certain who you were responding to but PSP is a completely separate program from CSA, but PSP does use CSA data.

    CSA - What's New

    Read the 3rd question.

Drivers do not get points assigned, in fact trying to assign and compare points for violations in different basics is futile as the basics aren’t comparable.

That is a carriers points not a drivers. Drivers get points for there carrier not them self. Fmcsa DOES NOT HAVE A POINT SYSTEM FOR DRIVERS

BUT - a driver with a bad reputation and history of incurring violations at past inspections will bring negative baggage to their current or future carrier employer's safety score (in the form of points). Right?

If you want to classify the number of violations as points then the answer to your question is yes. But that still doesn’t change the fact that a driver does not accumulate points in the same was a carrier accumulated points.

Nope, the carrier the driver has the bad reputation with keeps the hit. A carrier the driver later goes to gets nothing under CSA because of the driver’s bad reputation.

In the beginning. All the talk was about carriers maintaining points for 2 years. Drivers for 3 years. Now. Talk is no one gets points.

Somebody gets points somewhere because the Prepass systems are still using this as part of the criteria [I assume] for whether they get red lighted or not.

Yep. I know. But it's funny how points are still there after 2 years. At least mine were before the websight makeover. For inspections clear back to 3 years.

If we don't have points and they only account for 2 years to carrier. Why they still there after 2 years? Or were. Can't seem to find em these days.
