After a lot of struggle in my brain I decided on Prime. Was going to go with CFI or Stevens but Prime pays considerably more. I start Jan. 3. I’ll be sure to know their rules on firearms.

I'm sure you looked at a few companies but you might consider Cypress?
-
I looked into them, they were on my list as well

It's a tough decision when you have so many options.

Thanks for this. It answered my questions. As long as my company allows, I can have a gun in the truck, out of reach, unloaded and in a lock box in any state. What happens if I ever used it, I have no clue because I don’t have a carry permit.

Beyond tough. I don’t want to leave my job now, which I’ve been doing for 8 years, and go to a #### company.Vic Firth Thanks this.

Prime has an absolute policy against firearms in their trucks, just an fyi. If you choose to carry, it's on you and I strongly recommend waiting until upgrade into own truck. I would not bring it thru the training process and on a trainers truck, it is not just your job on the line and as a trainer myself, if I lost my job because a student completely disregarded policy, that weapon would likely be put to use on said student.
Texas_hwy_287, tscottme and captjimmy Thank this. -
Per idaho dot officers, there is no federal law against having a gun in the truck but you must comply with state laws you travel through.
roshea, Joetro, SingingWolf and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm sure you've gotten a lot of advice on where to go but as long as your driving record is good and you have a decent work history you have a lot of options.captjimmy Thanks this.
