talk about the plague ; here's a little insight into PAM.....firsthand experience,so no spin here....
I have been driving first seat now for a little more than 3 months...till the end of october I was averaging between 2800 and 2100 miles a week...nov has been a complete disaster, 1600 to 0000 miles a week. requested home time six weeks in advance, close to the date I was supposed to go home they (PAM ) call me in to retire my truck. I deadhead from TX to AR ( asap like they said )only to wait 8 days before I was issued a truck which was also a 05 freighshaker only with lesser miles.2 days later I get a load and 32 miles later the truck breaks down....so I am still here in AR. When I asked about my requested home time as it was important to me to get there, I was told that since I retired the first truck the request was overridden, and that I was to put in another request, I did , then the truck they assigned broke down.Getting rich waiting # 25 $ a day layover pay.A lot of guys I went to trucking school with have quit , and more are thinking of quitting. most drivers # PAM will also tell you similar stories of waiting days on end for a load,PAM doesn't care, they are still bringing more students everyday. last 3 days because of 40 drivers waiting on trucks ( including some students who have been upgraded )they have now started sending drivers home.someone told me that it helps PAM if people quit,as then they don't have to pay for the school. After 3 months ( & 2 wks ) I am still waiting on my penny raise.I am not about to quit as I think no matter what I must complete my 1 year as a bonded slave. Hopefully things will get better......regards to all trucers out there.....:biggrin_25512:

Wow! Maybe part of the training should be making sure you guys know how to spell in the english language. Sure hope you speak it better than you spell it.

from my experience with swift, english and the ability to use it are not necessary as a driver, two hands, if available, and two feet, even two of the same are all that are needed.

take it easy guys, this tread is to report bad companies, no to grade someone's ability to spell, write or read. I think what JUGS is trying to say is that PAM sucks. And this is what is all about, try to inform new students and drivers of this bad companies that don't care about anyone.

panhandlepat, IrunU and MCR6468 Thank this.

And spelling errors like "thanXgiving", or "suX", are certainly not worth of comment.

    Who cares?

If they are such a great English teacher that they want to correct everybody's spelling then maybe they should go back to it, unless they washed out of that also!
