Which ELD did you go with

Why not? It would be much easier for book keeping practices in having one log rather then the eld for 350 days and gaps here and there where paper must be retained to show the missing days. I don't see why you could not just edit in the days where it was not functioning and destroy the paper log (they would be the same thing).

 

Keep trucking. 20 a month and easy to hook up and use.

I contacted my friend who does daily auto parts runs on elog. He says yes the days paper is used it gets entered into the system the next day. Also the system notes a correction was made. So if you claimed the elog was broken perpetually and entered the data manually there would be a myriad of edits which will raise an eyebrow and warrant more scrutiny.

So much for that idea.

 

Bigroads appears to be much more user friendly then keep trucking. That app is a pita.

I have gorilla aobrd and keeptrucking that can be run in both modes(eld and aobrd).

Keep trucking as Aobrd. Been using it for a year . VERY EASY TO USE GREAT INTERFACE .
