I remember talking with a long time driver at a store I was delivering 2 and he made the same statement that at the big event they hold in Bentonville every year the CEO made a statement to this effect... It'll be a cold day in h*** before I have a truck driver making 6 figures under my watch... I guess it's coming to fruition

 

I'll bet he's happy with the new plans in place as we still have a line of suckers wanting to drive a truck for 38 cpm a mile. Almost as dumb as those guys who go to work for Western for 32 cpm just so they can say they drive a Pete.

 

But it's a peterjoke that alone should be good enough for low pay

 

That is a lie. It never happened except in the bitterness addled brain.

McMillan has never stood up at the stockholders meeting and stated anything about limiting any associates pay. Nor did he use the phrase "cold day in hell"

I once heard from a driver that drivers that make up stories like that are all mentally stunted. Must be true a driver said it
