8NBait, you will get paid for two. Yes the one on wilson. Very friendly guard, my winch bar would like to meet him. I ran 11/3 but i usualy would stay out a couple of extra days if there was better freight. They are very good about getting you home when requested. what i men is that i would take a load that kept me out a day or two longer if it meant i didn't have to wait for that perfect run. I had the attitude to keep moving and my disp. knew that. Once I even got home early. If you want to shock your disp. tell them that you dont want to go home early if it means that you only get two days off instesd of three. I wish I could have seen the look on my disp. face when I told him that. As far as parking there are lots of trucking co. around here. Bowman has a lot by there terminal. I was about to lose my parking when I got off the road. I parked at the roadway term(trailer only) but yellow moved in and its pretty full now. You can drop trailer at the ac&t but you will have to pay. You can try roadway but I would try Bowman. you will only be home 5-6 days a month

thanks, that is the attitude I have, I would rather be moving than waiting. If it takes a couple extra loads to work my way closer that is fine with me. So I guess you went home empty after unloading at lowes? that would be a pretty good deal since I live so close to there. Then when you leave home you get paid from your house?
I didn't think another company would let you park at their lot but maybe it is a mutual respect for other companies. I am really looking forward to this career, have always wanted to do this.
Did you have any trouble tarping? I have issues with my back from time to time but nothing real bad.
Any New York City loads? I despise the northeast. I used to travel to maine quite a bit. Connecticut and Mass are a mess, i would try to time it so i would travel between 11pm and 5am. When my daughter graduates I am moving to the midwest. I gotta get off the east coast.

Sometimes, Like I said Bowman has a lot over by harley and the roof center in williamsport. I see lots of different trucks and busses there. I knew a guy that worked at roadway and thats how I got my spot. There are lots of small trucking co. around here so I would get in the car and drive around and ask. Roehl will want to know where you are going to park in your off time before they give you a truck. As far as tarping goes, hopefully you will get a very good trainer. Once you get done with school i can shoot you a few names. I know several. I was heading down that path until my current job came up. I only had a few loads that took a LONG time to tarp. Most are cut and dry and wont take that long. They have a pretty good load securement program but like i said your trainers will teach more as far as tarping goes. Tell your trainer that you want to tarp. they wont let you make mistakes that could cost them and they will appreciate your hard work. As far as running between 11 and 5, thats only 6 hrs, most of your deliveries will be during the day. I used to haul campers at night but as far as flatbedding i prefer to drive during the day. I usually started between 2 and 3 am so I could park at night. They will start you runnning in the midwest first. Easier to get around. you will know wisconsin and minnesota pretty well. Shoot, I know marshfield as well as I know Hagerstown.
