I was sitting at the truckstop in Laurel Montana back in the 80's. A Marten driver had just got unloaded and had the rest of the day off and was excited to do some fishing. He dropped his empty and headed off to find some fish. About an hour later a thunderstorm showed up. I saw a microburst strike the ground on the other side of the road. The dust cloud was approaching fast so I was busy rolling up my windows. All of a sudden I heard a hollow thud, I looked over and saw that empty Marten trailer laying on its side. Fortunately nobody was parked next to it. I had to leave before the driver came back but I'm sure he was pretty surprised.
stwik, lilillill, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
A cab or a bike is cheaper than a missing load.

Kingpin lock. If that fails, I pay insurance every month.

My first insurance policy only covered trailer while hooked to truck or parked at primary address.
