For a manufacturer is a bit of a different ball game, not to mention they probably know how to load. I’ve only done that for contractors who didn’t care as long as it got there.

The one time I used straps I noticed a lot of abrasion where they laid over the top. That made me a little nervous, enough to discourage me from using them again.

On a longer haul I’d venture to assume they would’ve eventually broke.

Cheap straps or rough wall, we hauled a whole bunch from Norwalk Ohio to Louisville Ky which is a fair distance without a problem.

I'm in ####ing awe. I've seen some dumb crap in my short 6 month stint in open deck this far... but holy cow. I'd have a tough time not making a phone call or at the very least bringing that to the shippers attention...

Loader saw it and said "he had never seen anything like it". Just walked away shaking his head.

I had a load for which songs are sung about how stupid the whole thing was that day. I went into a Home Depot not far from Jessup. They were breaking down the metal racks in the store for a reconditioning, whatever that was.

By the time they had the racks piled on my freuhauf deck it was a overwide, over long, over high pile of seriously dangerous load. All sharp corners sticking everywhere.

I threw everything on it. And stopped every half mile for the 17 miles to the stupid storage facility ratcheting, binding and strapping. tight tight and more tight. The tighter I got the more jingling I got as it got looser. And so help me the #### thing started spreading. So I quit it.

I made it to that building The loader told me to stand back out of the way.

Like a pickup stick childs game he hooked one of the racks with his forks and pulled 2 feet.

All of them came off scattering across the lot as he roared backwards not to be buried.
Thank you, sign here. You go bye bye.

next time I see a load like that I need a plasma welder.
