I always just take a nip of brandy and let it soak on the sore tooth,...Probably not the best idea in a truck......lol..

I'll keep that one in mind for at home. :biggrin_255:You definitely don't want to do that in a truck though! That means I would actually have to go buy brandy though.

Trust me,...It works!!!.......When I was little my parent used to soak a cotton ball with brandy and stick it between the sore tooth and check...And they wonder why I like brandy as a adult.....lol..

I recall having heard that as a way of dealing with teething years ago. Now days, that would get a person in trouble. I'll bet just about any alcohol would numb things up good! I just wish I could come up with something that would work for sciatic problems besides stretches and muscle relaxers.

I had a bad root canal some years ago. the Dr who redid it was very good. She told me to take up to 5 Advil or Ibuprofen if I needed to every 4 or 5 hours. Normally 3 or 4 will make it manageable. Sorry to hear that you are suffering. Teeth and ribs can make those tears run down anyones cheeks. Give it a try. It is legal too.

a few months back i got a toothache in 2 different spots. i took handfulls of aleve, tylenol and every other OTC pain reliever out there till my stomach was screwed up. NOTHING even slightly curbed the pain!!!!
the pain was so bad i couldn't sleep. finally i deduced that they were infected. bought a bottle of listerine and used it every few hours, within a day or so the pain was gone

    1nonly Thanks this.

I have a tooth that gives me trouble every so often. Double dose of the antibiotic to get the level up in your system quick. Usually within 12 hours its feeling a lot better. The Tea Bag and Listerine tricks work pretty well, especially the listerine if you're bleeding.
