any brokers with loads open on weekends?

Yeah, that's a no go here. We're not even allowed to use the private messenger function on the site.

 

You absolutely can get GREAT freight Friday nights, Saturday & Sunday. Post your truck to the DAT and Friday at 1700 your phone will ring off the hook. Every big time broker in Chicago will be trying to cover weekend freight that their customers gave them at 1659 that needs to pick up that night/Saturday/Sunday.....and they will pay.

 

Yea I noticed that there's no way to message each other... I work honest with two customers, one for reefer and one for Vans, we don't fool around negotiating and lying to each other, and it works so much better than anything I did my first year waiting for the back and forth on negotiations. It's weird that we can't just be honest here, but I understand what would happen if this board was flooded with offers and posts and stuff, it's not a load board. Still..

 

Is your company a large broker? I have to agree with you about how its weird and not being honest with it.
It would be useful for brokers to share info about their brokerage company's here

 

Unfortunately, I work for landstar. No amour of work ethic can overcome the stigma my company has, kindof a nightmare.

 

It's a big office, the top landstar agency in the nation, takes the next three combined to equal our revenue. About 50 ppl in my office.

 

Post your truck as available on the load boards. You'll get calls from desperate brokers trying to get loads moved because the carrier that booked it cheap decided to cancel. Make sure you add your last minute weekend load premium to the rate.

 

I doubt this. Unless your comparing to other lanstar offices. Got me confused a bit.
