I tried Stonebridge ez-eld...(nothing easy about it) . Getting it to pair with my tablet was a 2 day process. with absolutely no help from their customer service department. But i can say this is true they have some nice calming music while you sit on hold for an hour only to get hung up on! The driver interface is ridiculous you cant flag change of duty status without going to edit screen and entering the reason fo change then when you do edit it only sometimes saves it. changing shipping docs and trailer numbers encounter the same problems. dvir is a joke as well it will only generate a report successfully 1 out of 8 or 10 tries. thank god i only went with the free trial period and im only out 150$ ! Trying rand mcnally next only because i already have a tnd 740 wish me luck.
Which ELD did you go with

I've been using Big Road since 08/20016. I'm with you, I love the interface. I was going to plug up today, but once again, changed my mind. -
Do Not get the GEOWIZ.
Plugged it in and started the truck. Engine started skipping and check engine light came in.
Tried to get their tech support but no answer, no call backs in 3 days now.
Unplugged it and engine is smooth but had to get my mechanic to clear the code.
What a mess/ waste of moneyBoostedTeg Thanks this. -
Cummimgs Trucking LLC Thanks this.

BigRoad has a lot of very useful "how to" videos uploaded on their site. Take advantage of them before you plug everything in and then find yourself winging it as you go.Freddy57 Thanks this. -
One thing I did learn from a load I did yesterday was, I won't be doing any of those 'in the middle of the night deliveries'. I say good luck to the customers who want those delivered. All I saw were owner operator trucks in there. I may plug up Friday also. I'll keep you posted. -

Only diagnostics devices should do that i.e. clearing EMC trouble codes, setting sensor parameter - usually TPM, Airbag reset etc
So, with this happening, what's to prevent ECM hacking via that "ELD" device?
You can thank FMCSA for leaving the certification to a grey area....they wanna enforce rules but are not acting like they know what they doing.benthere Thanks this.
