Make sure you get a layover # covering all 4 days.
You have been there so long "V" will have to authorize it personally.
The last time I was there around Nov 16th, they were so slow they came out to my truck and asked if there was anything I'd like done.
I'm back in Billings tonight.
A driver on home time in Denver decided to stay home, so I got his load.
Just a terminal to terminal D&H run with the trailer 3/4 full of furniture warehouse floor sweepings.
Beats waiting for the Busch beer loads to start again though.
They took the entire holiday weekend off down there.
So absolutely nothing out for days.
Hope I get a sugar run out of here then. I'll call "L" in the morning and ask not to get sent your way.
Sounds like there is too many drivers coming off home time in that area. -
Broke down in Topeka, KS. Stopped for a quick break, got back into the truck, wouldn't start. Transmission throwing a fault code. Won't let the thing crank over.
Truck is at a Kenworth shop, I am in a motel for at least one night. Told them to fix the #### heat also. We'll see what happens....
Truck 1680 is a POS. -
Had 1682 awhile ago so it sounds like your doing OK ...... Just keep asking for a newer truck . Give it six months or so and they will work with you. Good Luck
-
Thanks. Macon already told me he wanted me out of this truck. Gonna have to remind him....
-
And now were down to just 2. Myself and a nother guy are the only 2 left, as both of our trucks are heading to the dealer to have work down, we both ended up with the same problem, his is way more serious then mine, but its a good thing its in the shop. he is in a hotel 2nite cause his truck is at cummins right now, im taking mine tm morning.
As for everyone els, they are all outa here, out on loads, some decen loads, but one person only got a 347 mile run, and she was beyond pissed off about the situation but she took it in hopes of getting some real miles after words.
well, hopefully ill be up and running tm, ill update whats going on. -
Looks like I'll be in a motel for another night tonight. What a way to (not) make money.....
-
yup, same here, still sitting, they are working on it today again, and they worked on it all day yesterday as well, dicovred a few problems with it, and its heading out to the dealership a somepoint today, so hopefuly my truck will be finished by days end, and i can get moving tm.
its snowing here in helena, talked to a driver that just passed threw and she said that the rds are starting to get slick out there, so everyone just be careful and be safe. -
ok, so im still here, truck is at the dealership, took it there today, they say it should be out tm, but we shall see.
there's only 2 of us left, everyone els rolled out lastnight and this morning, hoping my truck will be all finished tm, and i can get rolling.
but on a side note. i just have to mention this, and if this driver happens to read this, oh well and sorry in advance, but be lucky nobody knows who you are,
I was running over to the dealership and i was pulling out of here, ( helena ) and a truck was rolling out on the other side of the building, as i got to the front of the building the person in the truck beat me out there, wait! the entire driveway, streets, highways are shut down and everything is frozen solid out here 2nite, well, this jack ##### came around the building and had his wheel cut allllll the way over to the left but kept sliding straight, right into the dicth out front here between the building and the fuel pump, and if you are reading this, i hope to god that you dont drive like that on the highways where my family drives. -
Holy Shiite! you're still in Helena S2B?!?
You have my sympathy guy.
When you get your truck back, be sure to let the dispatchers know you've been sitting and want to run hard. You will.
I'm down in SFS tonight. Made that run on time.
Picked up a crunching noise/feeling in the front suspension on the way down.
The tie rod is bad and is being replaced right now as I type.
I'm going home to Phoenix tomorrow.
I was planning on staying out till after Christmas, but my mom is feeling under the weather.
I'll stay for a few days with her and go back out Monday.
