I know there’s gotta be a lot of guy that have some of these now, so could anyone tell me what’s the fuel mileage has been and the specs you have?
I’m looking to purchase one but I need to spec it and get close to 8 mpg as I can . Pulling flatbed and dry van
Thanks

Our Fitzgerald's easily get 8 mpg.
When they're not broke down.Broke Down 69, dirttrackking55 and Oxbow Thank this. -
If get Fitzgeralds get it with a factory reman not their rebuild.
dirttrackking55 Thanks this. -
What are the gears and transmission yal have? What do yal pull?
What are some problems are you having is it just typical things or Fitzgerald issues? -
Is there a way to find out if the available trucks they have on the lot has a factory reman or their in house engine?

Spec the truck for the job. What do you pull more flat or box. What are your freight lanes? If your running flat land and not much hills go with 13 3.36 or 3.23 assuming you run 22.5 L/p. Run the hills then go 3.73 or 3.91 with a double over 13 .62od in the big hole.
Kinda hard to properly spec a truck both ways. If it was me. 3.91 dbl over 13 on small rubber and get a tune from a Mr Haney. Use your brain and bam 7.0+ all daydirttrackking55 Thanks this. -
I'm sure the build records have it.Speed_Drums Thanks this.

I have a 2016 T660 Studio with the Fitzgerald build. Also Pittsburgh Power dampner/balancer, PP muffler, FASS Fuel System and Fleet Air Filter. 244 in. wheelbase with Michelin Multi X steers and 445 XOne Line Wide singles. 2.85 gears with 13 speed. Runs in direct 11th 57-62 mph average. Pull 53' dry van many light FedEx loads.
Using mileage and gallons added. Also run Rigmaster APU on 10 he breaks so I'm sure these would be higher without that fuel being used.
